Pre-treatment of rounding for cutting blade

Process Objective

Longer lifetime for tools can be realized by rounding on edges after the removal of burrs on edges of cutting blade which are generated through Carbide tool manufacturing process.

 If burrs on periphery area exist, they are chipped off.
  After wet-blasting
  1) Round edge shape makes less chippings.
2) It can coat homogeneously even up to the tip of a cutting blade.
   

Treatment Example

  • 1) Uniform rounding is applicable for all over the work piece.
  • 2) Applicable for variable forms.
  • 3) The amount of rounding can be controlled by changing abrasives and blasting air pressure.
